A man who was fatally struck Sunday evening on Almaden Expressway has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
Frank Roberson Jr., 53, of San Jose was struck at around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when he walking on Almaden Expressway across from Canoas Garden Avenue, according to officials. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman who struck Roberson was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry southbound on Almaden when she struck Roberson. Preliminary evidence revealed no sign of alcohol or other substances as factors of the collision, according to officials.
Roberson is among 53 people have died in San Jose vehicle collisions so far this year, including seven in November.
