The Wildkatz traveled to Morgan Hill during March 7-8 for the 2020 Surf Copa Cup Surf Cup Qualifiers and competed in the top Super Group division of the U15 girls group.

In the first match, West Coast shut out the Monterey Surf 3-0. Kamiryn Grimes scored two goals and the third was an own goal after a crossing pass from Zusette Zamora.

The Wildkatz continued to dominate in game two. Grimes scored the game-winner as the Wildkatz defeated San Jose Surf 1-0.

Next up, the Wildkatz battled SF United to 1-0 victory, with the lone goal coming from Miette Sessoms, assisted by Maddee Reid.

In the championship, the Wildkatz faced a strong Central Coast United team from San Luis Obispo. Savannah Cordero orchestrated and scored the first goal, with an assist from Grimes. The second goal came off a pass from Zamora to Jadynn King, who crossed the ball perfectly to a sprinting Sessoms for a header.

The Wildkatz eventually began to control the game as the back line held Central Coast to midfield for most of the game. Midfield was dominated by Taryn Richey, King, and Giovanna Garcia. Isabella Gelao registered her fourth straight shutout and helped close out the 2-0 championship.

Next up, the West Coast Wildkatz will resume NorCal Spring League Champions League play and prepare for the upcoming Players College Showcase held in Las Vegas on March 20-22.
