Campbell crime report for the week of May 29

May 11

9:45 a.m. in the 100 block of Union Avenue: Someone entered a vehicle and stole an item.

11:20 a.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A driver left their vehicle running. Someone stole the vehicle while the driver was out of sight.

8:16 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: During an argument, the suspect hit the victim in the face.

9:16 p.m. in the 200 block of Hollis Avenue: A woman was found passed out in her car. The suspect was too intoxicated to care for herself.

May 12

Overnight in the 200 block of Watson Drive: Someone cut the lock to a storage locker.

Overnight in the 500 block of Salmar Avenue: Someone spilled white paint all over the parking lot, causing damage to the victim’s vehicle.

4 p.m. in the 10 block of Budd Avenue: Someone convinced the victim to give them gift cards so the suspect could fix an issue for the victim.

9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Nido Drive: Three people were drinking at an apartment. The suspect got up to leave and hit one of the residents. All three went out into the parking lot and fought. The suspect fled to his apartment prior to police arrival.

May 13

500 block of Railway Avenue: Someone opened accounts in the victim’s name without permission.

1000 block of Cameo Drive: Someone entered a vehicle and stole items.

600 block of Lisa Way: Someone stole car parts from a vehicle.

Overnight in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue: A group broke a vending machine and stole items.

12:44 a.m. in the 600 block of Creekside Way: A vehicle was stolen.

Between noon and 1 p.m. at East Campbell Avenue and First Street: A bike was stolen.

4 a.m. in the  200 block of Beethoven Lane: A resident saw someone take items from their porch.

6 a.m. in the 400 block of Kings Court: Someone was seen entering an unlocked vehicle and stealing items.

400 block of West Rincon: A woman lost a purse containing her driver’s license and credit cards.

May 14

1:50 p.m. in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: Someone working on a lift fell off and sustained injuries.

Overnight in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone smashed the window to a vehicle and took items.

May 15

10:25 a.m. at Bascom Avenue and Dry Creek Road: A man was staggering and falling down. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and too intoxicated to care for himself. He was transported to the Santa Clara County Sobering Station.

9:01 p.m. in the 1200 block of Dell Avenue: A man was contacted by staff after hours and refused to leave. It was determined that he was unable to care for his own safety or the safety of others due to his level of alcohol intoxication, and he was transported to the Santa Clara County Sobering Station.

10 p.m. at San Tomas Aquino Road and Campbell Avenue: The victim said someone armed with a machete demanded their phone and wallet.

1200 block of Hazel Avenue: A residential window was damaged by what appeared to be a plastic air soft pellet.

May 16

4:30 p.m. in the 00 block of Gilman Avenue: The driver of a white 1996 Dodge van was seen backing into the exterior wall of a business and fleeing the scene.

10:39 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man was causing a disturbance inside the store and in the parking lot. The suspect was found to be too intoxicated to care for his safety or the safety of others.

1:05 a.m. in the 1000 block of Shady Dale Avenue: Someone entered an unlocked 2003 Toyota parked in front of a residence and used the garage door opener to open the garage to the victim’s residence. The suspect stole the victim’s 2012 white Lexus RX350 that had the keys inside the vehicle from inside the garage.

1 a.m. in the 1000 block of Shady Dale Avenue: Someone entered an unlocked 2019 Audi Etron. There was no known loss at the time of the investigation.

1 a.m. in the 1000 block Shady Dale Avenue: Someone entered an unlocked 2016 Ford Edge and ransacked the interior. There was no known loss at the time of the investigation.

May 17

10:22 a.m. in the 00 block of South San Tomas Aquino Road: A woman, 44, was contacted after being seen tapping on the door with a machete. The suspect was found to have a no-bail warrant and was in possession of a meth pipe and a machete.

11:19 a.m. in the 1000 block of Ridgeley Drive: The wife heard the husband leave earlier that morning and later discovered a firearm was missing.

4 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone forced entry into a locked cabinet and stole merchandise.

9:30 p.m. in the  300 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 35, was reported as a suspicious person and was found to be under the influence of meth.

8:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of Almarida Drive: Someone was seen stealing a package from a porch.
